Spicy Thai Basil Ground Chicken

Starting off the recipe series with one of my favorite dishes Spicy Thai Basil Ground Chicken. I usually order this when eating out and it’s delicious but I  wanted a healthier alternative so I came up with this version at home. And it’s a go-to recipe whenever I’m feeling for spicy! P.S. I got all these ingredients from Trader Joe’s!

Honestly, you can’t go wrong with this dish.

Directions:

1. Cook your ground chicken in a skillet once meat becomes semi-cooked add in onions, garlic, jalapenos, bell peppers.
2. Put all the sauce and spices into a bowl and mix
3. Once everything in the skillet is browned, add HALF the bowl of sauce
4. Stir sauce into the meat and veggies and keep stirring to sauce evaporates
5. Once sauce is evaporated, this is where you can adjust your flavors. Add more of anything you want! I added more soy sauce to make it more brown colored.
6. Now add in your basil and rest of the sauce.
7. Stir everything and wait for the sauce to reduce by half.
8. Serve with rice and a fried egg!
