#ELLENS30: Beauty Bar Set up

WHY A BEAUTY BAR?

It’s not every day that you get to celebrate your 30th (thank GOD) but when that day comes, I felt it was also a day to reflect back on those who have been in my life, supported me and loved me since day one. Birthdays are days that you celebrate well YOU, but I wanted to also celebrate and thank all the wonderful friends I have in my life by setting up a fun beauty bar.

Since I get to try new products on the daily, I knew from the beginning I wanted to also give that experience to my friends and introduce a few brands by experience and word of mouth rather than by Instagram.

Being an influencer I’m consistently, or at least trying to, post about noteworthy products, test out trends and introduce my readers to brands they might not have tried before but a big part of being digital is that anything I post or say is my word against someone else’s. That’s why I felt it was also important to have my closest friends test out products with me while introducing them to brands they might have never heard of. It also kept us busy during our down times and kept our conversations flowing. Drinks in one hand, beauty products in the other, how can one complain?

Most of the brands who participated in this beauty bar were brands I’ve worked with previously and I have own/purchased myself in the past. I hope you guys are inspired to do something fun and unique for your next event or party!

 Beauty Bar Products:

Yes To: Contains about 95% natural ingredients with the latest formulation recipes to make sure the products do what they say they do. I’ve picked up several of their products at Target and it’s super affordable.
It Cosmetics: I would say 50% of my everyday make up products consists of It Cosmetics. I love the brand to death, no lie! Here are my faves: You skin but better CC Cream | Bye bye make up Melting cream | Universal Brow Pencil

Stila Cosmetics: Stila has been killing it these days. From their amazing eye shadow palettes, glitter liquid eye shadows, and matte lipsticks Stila has been on top of it’s game. Love using both these products: Eye are the window palette | Magnificent Metals glitter liquid eye shadow

Kate Somerville: One of my all time favorite skincare brand! A brand I completely trust and always recommend to others. Products I use almost daily: Exfolikate | Dry Skin Saver | Dilo restorative oil
Julep: Used to be a nail polish only line and now they have shifted their business toward beauty and skincare. We got to test out the K-Beauty Double Cleansing 101 products. I thought it was fantastic, especially for those who are just starting the double cleanse method.
Bioderma: Pretty sure everyone is familiar with Bioderma products. It’s a cleansing and make-up removing water that respects the fragility of sensitive skin. You can purchase Bioderma products on Amazon, your local drug stores, Walmart, and pretty much anywhere online as well.
R+Co: This hair product brand has just blown up within the last year or so. From their catchy bottle graphics to the amazing scents, it’s pretty apparent this brand is here to stay. Being available at Nordstrom, Revolve, Barneys, etc., it’s pretty obvious their products are amazing. I use: Death Valley Dry Shampoo | Sunset blvd blonde conditioner
Until next time ?
