I know it’s been a month since I’ve been back but honestly, I was so shocked at how much I loved Austin I wanted to make a blog post in case anyone else was going to visit anytime soon! I wasn’t able to do a ton of things because I was primarily there for work but here’s everything we did for our

Franklin Barbecue
- 900 E 11th St, Austin, TX 78702
- Long lines form early for brisket, pulled pork & other smoked meats at this lunch-only spot.
Home Slice Pizza
- 1415 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704
- Located right on Congress Ave, so you can shop and then stop by for a snack!
- I loved the cheese pizza and the margarita!
Elizabeth Street Cafe

- A neighborhood Vietnamese cafe and French bakery in South Austin with sunny dining rooms and a shady garden patio
Ambience : A+, Food: B
Joann’s Fine Foods

Patika
- 2159 S Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX

Where we stayed
- Hotel: Austin Motel
- Super cute and trendy boutique style hotel.
- I’d recommend it if you’re into a more retro hotel style.
Things to do:
- Whole Foods’ flagship store
- 525 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78703-5411
- Shopping: I would recommend shopping on Congress Ave. There are so many cute boutiques and shops. Found a ton of vintage stores as well. Along the street are restaurants and bars, I mean this street is where it’s at. Walking distance from Downtown Austin and Elizabeth St. Cafe.
- Bars on Sixth St.
- Best Bars: Midnight Cowboy, Easy Tiger, Casino El Camino
- Rainey St.
- Renovated houses turned into bungalow bars reign supreme on this increasingly popular tucked-away street. Day or night, you’ll find relaxed bar-goers strolling from bar to food trailer to bar again, often with their dogs in tow looking for a kicked back sip and a bite.
